With 180-degree views of Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, and beyond, Welcome Bay was the perfect location for a small hillside community. Partnering with the landowner, Lighthouse transformed a 15-hectare dormant farm into 14 lifestyle sections, complete with covenants to preserve the landscape.

Just a short drive from Tauranga’s CBD, this project meets the needs of those seeking a rural life close to town. Lighthouse enhanced the area by planting over 15,000 native plants and 200 mature trees, supporting local wildlife and the stream, exceeding Council requirements. Free for residents’ picking, the olive grove further propagates the sense of community Mana Ridge was envisioned to cultivate.

Lighthouse worked closely with Ngati He Hapu, receiving their blessing to name the land Mana Ridge, reflecting the area's history. All homes at Mana Ridge are sold out with construction of the majority of homes now complete, such as the one featured here built by Lighthouse.
